Armenia’s investment in computing needs an equally serious investment in the people who will put it to work.
On October 7, Rachel and Rev joined Friends of YSU in Burbank for “AI in Armenia: The Frontier & Future.” The evening supported research fellowships at Yerevan State University’s Machine Learning Lab.
The discussion brought together research, talent, and computing infrastructure around a practical question: how can Armenia build companies that serve the world?
Thank you to YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan for joining Rev on the panel, and to Hrant Khachatrian for his work building the lab and developing Armenia’s next generation of AI researchers.
Recognizing Rachel’s support for YSU
During the evening, Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan presented Rachel with the Zabel Yesayan Medal in recognition of her support for YSU.
“I’m proud of her and glad to share this work with her.”
